Family Morning: Let’s meet at Bluhm’s house

In October, Kumu Family Mornings will take place at the Kumu permanent exhibition “Identity Landscapes. Estonian Art 1700-1945. We will visit the permanent exhibition’s project room exhibition “Longing for Lost Space. Sirja-Liisa Eelma”, where paintings dealing with themes such as emptiness, silence and the relationship between the visible and the invisible can be seen. In addition to contemporary paintings, the exhibition includes historical paintings, sketches, drawings and photographs.

At family morning, we will take a look at Sirja-Liisa Eelma’s world of pastel shades. Along the way, we’ll also explore what familiar and unfamiliar things can be found in 19th century Baltic German interiors and discover details in historical paintings that may initially go unnoticed. The programme will end with a creative workshop in the studio, where we will make patterns with stencils.

Family Mornings

Kumu Family Mornings is a series for families with children aged 4–8. Monthly on a Sundays (September-May) from 12.00–13.30, Kumu welcomes children and their parents into the world of vivid art.
