Sold out! ECHO: Kumu REIV x HALL
At the end of the tunnel, a party awaits! Kumu’s 20th anniversary programme brings together contemporary art, architecture, electronic music, night and day. In collaboration with the HALL nightclub, a vibrant music programme will accompany museum visitors in the Kumu inner courtyard on 28 August. At night, the dance floor moves to Kumu’s car tunnel, which is normally closed to visitors and will be filled with music and light installations.
During the event, you can explore the newly opened social art project “Hold Me Dearly: A Monument to Survival” in the Kumu Courtyard. The exhibition was born in cooperation with young people living in closed child care institutions (the Estonian acronym is KLAT), giving a voice to young people who often go unnoticed. The installation-like environment created in Kumu’s inner courtyard integrates their works into a “social sculpture park”: a bus stop, a vendor’s booth, a car, a playhouse and other mundane objects you can hide in. The project was initiated by Marta Vaarik and Juri Krutii.
