Art Walk. Kristi Kongi: Chromatic Drift
Drop-in guided tour in English
The Kumu Art Museum offers you a great opportunity to spend your leisure time in a vibrant artistic space. On the last Sunday of every month, we offer a special drop-in guided tour that will introduce one of our exhibitions. Through our museum mediators, you can gain deeper insight into art and history.
The painter Kristi Kongi’s large-scale solo exhibition is one of the highlights of the Kumu Art Museum’s anniversary year. It is the first solo exhibition by an Estonian woman artist in Kumu’s great exhibition hall, featuring new works created specifically for this event. The exhibition evokes a holistic sensory and spatial experience centred on colour, a hallmark of Kristi Kongi’s oeuvre. Extending beyond the canvas, colours and motifs have spilled onto the floor, walls, windows and the outdoor space. Chromatic Drift reflects the artist’s inner journeys over the past few years, during which colour has served the purpose of mapping and preserving both states of mind and memories.
Art Walk at Kumu takes place on the last Sunday of every month at 3 pm.
NB! Check the exact schedule because national holidays might affect this!
The meeting point is at the museum ticket office.
