The Many Facets of a Clay Form
18.11 & 25.11 17.00–19.00
Instructor: Jarõna Ilo
The course is held in Estonian, but English translation can be provided.
During the two-part course, various sections are cut from a sheet of rolled clay, which is then glued together into a facial shape using a clay slurry. A strictly geometric or an asymmetrical shape can be created. The result is a container with a modern design that can be glazed in pleasing shades of colour.
The material will be worked during the first lesson. During the second lesson, glazing with one’s chosen colours will take place, and the pre-fired items will be glazed under the guidance of the master of the ceramic studio.
The instructor is Jarõna Ilo, the master of the Kumu ceramics studio.
NB! The participants can visit the exhibitions free of charge on the days they attend the course.
