Kumu Documentary 20

Kumu Documentary, the longest-running programme at Kumu, produced in collaboration with the Black Nights Film Festival and the Kumu Auditorium, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The first film screening took place at Kumu two days after the building opened in 2006. On 18 February we will celebrate this milestone, together with Stellar Film, with the premiere of Keiti Väliste’s documentary introducing the work of the architect Raine Karp, one of the greats of Estonian architecture.

The large-scale solo exhibition of the painter Kristi Kongi (1985) offers an immersive spatial experience. In the new works created for this exhibition, colour emerges as the central element, with its fields of meaning unfolding in physical, emotional, and semantic ways.
