In the Style of Enn Põldroos
The entertainment tour “In the Style of…” combines a visit to the Enn Põldroos exhibition “Museum of Obsessions” with a creative workshop at Kumu Art Studios. The program is well suited for a group of friends, birthday parties, or a work collective.
First alongside with the program faciliator the group visits the exhibition that presents Enn Põldroos’s work from the late 1950s to the present decade. Põldroos, who had an adventurous nature, has been constantly changing his artistic style, ranging from the strict socialist realism required at the Art Institute to surrealism and beyond. The exhibition, on the other hand, opens up his work through the images and motifs that have accompanied Põldroos throughout his life and to which he has always returned at one time or another in new ways. Based on these motifs, participants can try to paint like Enn Põldroos in one of his recognizable painting styles.
Inspired by the exhibition participants can enter the picturesque world of colors and create a portrait in Põldroos’s style of a companion or themselves. The creative work uses both printing techniques and painting techniques.
