Family Morning: A Sphere, Cone, and Cube Enter the Exhibition Hall… (CLIL)
On Family Morning in December, we will visit the exhibition “Mari Kurismaa. Geometry of Twilight,” where we will explore the color wheel and geometric shapes. We will get acquainted with Mari Kurismaa’s work through the years, where geometry, golden ratio, and symmetry appear not as compositional techniques, but as emotional tools. The exhibition features paintings, graphics, and video art. During the tour, we will discover the themes of the exhibition through various exercises. The Family Morning will end with a creative workshop, where each participant will make a colorful candle holder that casts shadows.
About the Series
Kumu’s Family Mornings are meant for families with children between the ages of 4 and 8. Each meeting involves visiting an exhibition together, using playful methods to analyse it, and creating something with our hands. Guided by one of Kumu’s educators, the Family Mornings bring art closer to young art lovers through age-appropriate questions, discussions and exercises, while enabling parents to discover art in unexpected ways, too.
A Family Morning is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family, discover art and gain unforgettable experiences!
