Printmaking course: Woodcut
|Location:||Kumu education centre|
On 11.06 and 12.06 , from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm
Woodcut is a relief printing technique in printmaking. An artist carves an image into the surface of a block of wood, leaving the printing parts level with the surface while removing the non-printing parts. Areas that the artist cuts away carry no ink, while characters or images at surface level carry the ink to produce the print.
The course will be held in Estonian. Questions and explanations are also possible in English.
Instructor: Tarvvi Laamann
The courses are suitable for anyone interested in graphic art who is at least 14 years of age.
The participation fee can be paid in advance with an invoice, or in cash or by bank card at the Kumu ticket counter before the start of the course.
