Ceramics course: Nature motifs on clay
|Location:||Kumu education centre|
On 20.09, 27.09 and 04.10, 5–7 pm
Three-part ceramics course.
Let nature inspire you! Just as Konrad Mägi found his inspiration from forests and mountains, we will collect ideas and patterns from nature. By using plant material from early autumn nature (leaves, stalks, twigs and autumn blooms), we will make fascinating patterns in clay. A decorated clay plate can be modelled in whichever way and form you like. At the start of the season, we will focus on practical items: mugs and saucers/plates. In the first two meetings of the course we will work with the material and in the last one with glazing.
You can bring your own material from your garden.
The course will be held in Estonian. Questions and explanations are also possible in Russian and English.
