Walt Disney’s instant hit “Beauty and the Beast” is a tale as old as time. Not only did it become an unprecedented masterpiece in 1991, but it remains one of the highest praised animated films of all time. It received a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture, and it was the first animated film to receive the award in the Best Musical or Comedy category. In addition to these prestigious awards, “Beauty and the Beast” was given the Academy Award for Original Score and Best Original Song. Both the film and its music are unforgettable.

The film features a young girl, Belle, who loves to read, sing and care for her ageing father Maurice. One day, Maurice is captured by a scary Beast and locked up in a tower. To save her father, Belle trades places with him and she must remain with the Beast forever. Over time, Belle discovers a secret about the castle: it’s not such a scary place after all.
